Use this page for Mental Health Month, Mental Health Week, Wellbeing Week AND for awesome days you want to spotlight e.g. Reconciliation Day, RU OK Day, World Environment Day, International Friendship Day, Women's Day etc. We will always encourage you to visit the websites of the organisations leading these events. And you can use this page to add a Grow Your Mind lens on to them!

mental health month hand book

Available within this handbook are a

weeks worth of wellbeing lessons divided

into year level. All based on music, singing and movement.

Lessons are 5 - 20 minutes in length and

are flexible and adjustable to

meet needs of class.

Share the family calendar with your community and spread the positive mental health love

Time: 10 minutes   

Ages: 6 - 12

Activities:

Listen to the podcast episode (6 minutes)


Pause at the pausing part of the episode and in pairs invite each student to think of one way they could help someone feel they belong. Share the ideas and display them.


At the end of the episode ask students to again form pairs and discuss the difference between belonging and fitting in.
